Background

Seye Ogunnowo is a software engineer, SaaS developer and computer programmer. He works with a combination of technologies, inlcuding Python and JavaScript to build web applications and cloud-based software.

Seye previously had a background in the real estate industry, having worked in real estate organizations as well as having a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Estate Management.

Education

Primary through University

Seye attended St. Jude’s School, a private school in Lagos and later went to secondary school at Barbara Cox College. He graduated in 2013 and went to Covenant University, where he studies Estate Management and otained his Bachelor of Science degree. Afterwards, he furthered with a Master's degree in the same field in Covenant University in 2019, and graduated in 2021.

Programming Courses

Seye started courses in programming and software development after graduating from the university. In 2018, He attended the python programming and web development classes organized by CodeLagos. In 2021, He started HarvardX's CS50 Web Programming with Python and JavSacript, completing the course in 2022.

Career

While still in real estate, and in the university, Seye interned at Kinght Frank in 2017. In 2019, he worked at Sola Badmus and Co as a property digital marketing specialist. In 2020, he was employed at Phatoffers, a subsidiary of NX, as a content designer and manager. He was later employed in 2021 at the International Research Hub (IRH) as a web designer, content Manager and technical support personnel, a job where he designed the research website for the academic publishing company.

After transitioning fully to software development as his career path, Seye worked independently in 2021. He developed CONSTROMAN, an enterprise construction project management software and released the product in 2022, but was discontinued later that year, at the time when Seye started working at Citygate Global as a web developer.

In 2023, Seye started a role as a full-stack developer at Playhouse Communication and an application support analyst at MTN Nigeria.

• CONSTROMAN: an enterprise, commercial construction project management software available on the web and released in June 2022. Support and updates were stopped on August 2022, and CONSTROMAN became inactive in September of the same year.



Works for Citygate Global

• Trend Analysis: Financial analysis and visulaisation software for the company's various branch offices, featuring financial insights, chart representation, data verification and audit systems.
• Citygate E-learning Portal: an e-learning system developed for staff induction and training for the organization featuring learning videos, time-based assessments and progress tracking.
• StaffChat: Instant messaging application built for internal communication amongst company staff, incluing interpersonal and group chats.
